This season is packed with incredible, emotional, enlightening, funny, thought-provoking shows and performances. From top comedians Phil Jupitus and Jo Brand, to the graduate students of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Other highlights of the season include the many companies performing comedy, Shakespeare and children’s shows outside in the ECOS amphitheatre, don’t forget to bring your picnic! We also have music from the talented Kit Holmes, or if world music is more your scene, larger than life Nigerian percussionist Lekan Babalola and his band the Afrobeat Messengers. Something for everyone guaranteed.

Dance & Drama Youth Groups
The Merlin, in partnership with Tri.art Theatre School offers a wide range of weekly performance based activities including street dance, theatre, dance classes, plus holiday workshops for children and young people ages 6 up. We also give the opportunity for schools and groups to take part in exciting workshops from visiting professional companies and artists.

Kid With A Bicycle Thursday 11 July 8PM
Frome Film Club, a membership of like-minded film enthusiasts, presents a monthly programme of niche world cinema and quality independent films, with a delicious supper option also available. The season runs from September to July on the second Thursday of the month starting at 8.00 pm.

Stage & Screen Acting Classes with Mark McGann
The Merlin offers a variety of adult workshops from our ever popular weekly ‘Stitch n Bitch’ group, to classes in Ballet, Tap or Dance Yourself Fit with Tri.art Dance Academy. Actor and Director Mark McGann holds Screen and Acting Master classes on a regular basis.
