The Merlin aims to be accessible and welcoming to all and we are committed to making your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible.
Recent improvements include:
Level and marked parking spaces outside the main entrance.
Automatic entrance doors into the foyer.
Refurbished toilet suitable for wheelchair users.
Seating for wheelchair users that allows their companions to sit beside them.
Minicom/text phone facility for booking tickets and making inquiries 01373 473398.
Loop system covering the whole auditorium. (Please check availability as we have experienced some problems).
Improvements to internal and external signage.
Large print version of the brochure.
Brochure copy can be e-mailed for conversion into speech or braille output.
All companies visiting the Merlin can allow time on stage 20 minutes before the performance for visually impaired patrons to "walk" the set, talk to actors and touch costumes and props.
If you would like to take advantage of this facility please let us know 24 hours in advance so it can be built into the company's schedule.
We also welcome both Guide dogs and hearing dogs.
All staff and key volunteers have recently taken part in Equality Access Training.
