Miren Theatre Company presents - Leave to Remain
An Argentinean clown. A Greek actress who studied film and a quirky Spanish buffoon who is rather good at Martial Arts
This is Miren Theatre, a truly international physical theatre company who bring you Leave to Remain, a dark tragic-comedy that throws asylum seekers, refugees and displaced people into an absurd world of Terry Gilliam’s Brazil-like bureaucracy, where countries are the size of postage stamps and border officials paint your portrait.
Directed by John Nicholson from the award winning Peepolykus, Leave to Remain is Miren’s second devised show after their highly successful tour of Que sera sera? in 2002.
“An ineffable piece of acrobatic foolery that had everyone roaring. They are clearly performers of some skill” Venue Magazine
“Simple but brilliant…it works a treat. Brilliances like this make Miren worth watching.” Bristol Evening Post
