It was 50 yrs ago when man first ventured into the unknown realm of Space Travel and in just 50 yrs there has been a lifetime of change. In celebration of 50 yrs of space travel, Merlin affiliated artist Niki McCretton has created Space 50, a piece of theatre based on the memories of those who have been on a lifetime’s journey and witnessed a dynamic change and planetary rites of passage.

WE WANT YOUR SPACE STORIES
As part of the 50 year commemorations The Merlin Theatre are asking for people to send in their memories of significant moments of man’s journey into space. Where were you the day man landed on the moon? Did Neil Armstrong inspire you to become an astronaut? Whatever the story, we want to hear from you.

The stories, will be posted on this blog and will be collated into a short book which you can browse at the performance of Space 50 on Thursday 3rd May. Please email your space story to space50@merlintheatre.co.uk or post it to Space 50, The Merlin Theatre, Bath Rd, Frome. BA11 2HG. (you don’t have to give us your name, you could even invent a space alias!) The deadline for all entries is Monday 30th April.
