Frome Drama Club presents

Laughter will be on tap in Frome Drama Club’s latest production, One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean. Calum Grant returns to directing duties for this side-splittingly funny farce in which one man must keep it secret that he has two jobs and therefore two guvnors.

Set in 1963 Brighton, England, One Man, Two Guvnors features a disarming and doltish Francis Henshall who, after being fired by his skiffle band, finds himself minder to Roscoe Crabbe… but Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother. Roscoe’s been killed by Rachel’s boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket when Stanley offers him a job. To prevent discovery Francis must keep his two guvnors apart…

Simple. Well it would be if Francis wasn’t ‘the role model for village idiots everywhere’ (his words not mine). One Man, Two Guvnors is a riotous blast complete with a colourful cast of characters in a topsy-turvy world of love triangles and mistaken identities.
