The Tree Conference 2018

Following a popular preliminary event in Glastonbury last year, we’re delighted that the Tree Conference 2018 is moving to the Merlin Theatre. It’s a one day event for all tree lovers.

Now a project of the International Tree Foundation, the Conference explores citizen-led reforestation, support for ancient forests and the wider re-greening our Earth.

Confirmed speakers include Isabella Tree (author of Wilding), Dr Martin Bidartondo (Imperial College London & Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew), Frome’s own Peter Macfadyen, Mary Reynolds Thompson (author of Rewilding the Soul), Maria Gomez, Julian Height and others.

Topics include:
• Forest Defenders in UK cities and primary Tropical and Boreal forests.
• Articulating the consciousness in ancient forests and legislating to protect it.
• Education, grants, agroforestry, orchards, HS2, G5, riverways and rail network tree removal.
