MAKING A MARK
Hilary Kay’s Textile and Bead Workshop at the Adult leisure and learning centre.
10:30am to 4:30pm (Arrive for 10:15)
Create a unique hand embroidered panel. Using straight stitch as a starting point. Translate the marks you will make on paper on to fabric using a variety of thicknesses and textures of thread.
If you like colour and can thread a needle, you can do it!

BEADED SUMMER FLOWER
Hilary Kay’s Textile and Bead Workshop at the Adult leisure and learning centre.

Take one button or brooch base, some gorgeous fabric and a selection of brightly coloured sparkly beads and make yourself a summer flower you can wear to welcome in the sunshine. Beginners welcome more experienced beaders can have fun too.

STUMP WORK POPPY

Create a gorgeous poppy using a variety of Stump Work techniques including wired organza petals a wrapped wire stem and embroidered and beaded centre.

Adult Ballet and Dance Class
from beginner to professional.
With Catherine James, for many years a leading dancer with Rambert Dance Company
Tuesdays, 6pm -7.15pm
This class is for those of you who may not like aerobics or doing sessions in the gym, but still want to do some enjoyable exercise.
This is a relaxed dance class, using the techniques of ballet to get some exercise and enjoy moving to music. The class participants range from beginners right through to professionals who use the class to keep in shape during breaks from rehearsals, with many participants who studied dance in their younger days and now fancy a gentle return to the artform.
Classes run year round, so please contact the Merlin for term dates. You can join the class at any point as long as there is room.
Classes are £7.00 each, £5.00 for students, and you will need to book and pay for the term when you start. (pro rata fees apply if you start after the 22nd Jan.)
